Love Island's Jonny Mitchell announces he is to become a father for first time

Former Love Island contestant Jonny Mitchell has announced he is to become a father for the first time. The reality star, who appeared on the ITV dating show in 2017, shared the news with his followers on Instagram alongside a series of pictures with his partner, Simone Engelhardt.

In his post, Mitchell revealed that the couple are expecting a baby at the end of the year, admitting it had become difficult to keep the news a secret. He wrote that he had never been a fan of the idea of having children, but added: "I think it's something that you don't really feel until you have a woman in your life who you know will be an amazing mother."

The couple, who have lived in Bali since 2020, were seen beaming in the photographs as Mitchell knelt down and touched Engelhardt's baby bump. The post also included pictures from holidays and date nights.
