Holly Hagan Opens Up About Postpartum Anxiety and Parenting Struggles

Former Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan-Blyth has spoken candidly about her experience with postpartum anxiety, revealing that she feared her baby would stop breathing. The 33-year-old, who now hosts the CBeebies Parenting Helpline podcast, said she struggled to sleep during her son Alpha-Jax's infancy because she was constantly watching him.

Hagan-Blyth, who rose to fame on the MTV reality show at age 18, said the transition to motherhood was challenging. She and her husband, footballer Jacob Blyth, experienced frequent arguments during the first year. 'If you can get through that first year, you can get through anything,' she said.

The reality star also reflected on her regrets about undergoing a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), describing it as 'the most dangerous surgery you could ever have' and saying she is left looking like 'a deflated water balloon'. However, she noted that the experience helped her launch her fitness platform, Team Fitty.

Hagan-Blyth, who now lives a quieter life with her family, acknowledged that her time on Geordie Shore was 'wild and crazy' but believes reality TV has lost its authenticity. She criticised shows like Love Island for being overly produced, saying they should 'at least give them a couple of drinks'.

Series two of CBeebies Parenting Helpline is available from August 21st.
