Amy Hart's Hospital Dash: Former Love Island Star's Pregnancy Scare
Amy Hart's Hospital Dash Over Pregnancy Scare

Former Love Island contestant Amy Hart has opened up about a frightening health scare that led to an urgent hospital visit during her second pregnancy. The 32-year-old reality star shared details of the ordeal from her hospital bed, revealing she became concerned after noticing a significant change in her unborn baby's movements.

A Terrifying Ordeal for the Expectant Mother

Amy Hart candidly told her Instagram followers that she immediately worried when her baby's movement patterns altered unexpectedly. This scare comes after she and her husband Sam Rason, 38, have previously suffered two heartbreaking miscarriages, adding an extra layer of anxiety to her current pregnancy journey.

The television personality admitted the incident made her question whether she should seek medical attention, confessing she didn't know if she was just being a nuisance. However, she emphasised she is profoundly glad she took precautions and underwent tests at the hospital.

Important Advice for Other Expectant Mothers

Sharing a crucial update on Instagram, Amy wrote: "Just a reminder that if your movement changes at all call the triage!! With Stanley [her first child] I had no pattern at all and an anterior placenta so was always unsure if I was over reacting and being a nuisance so sometimes would leave it 2/3 (or 4) days and then get reminded I should have called earlier!

"This time I feel lots even though I have a front placenta again and have more of a pattern so when it changed today I called up and was invited straight in."

Positive Outcome and Recovery

Thankfully, medical examinations revealed no serious issues, with both mother and baby reported to be doing well. "All good, heartbeat strong and whilst I was on hold I managed to do most of my makeup for work tonight," Amy added with characteristic humour.

She followed up her initial post by thanking everyone for their well wishes on her Stories. "Thanks for all your lovely messages yesterday," she said. "And the ones that hit home just how important it is to get everything checked. The midwives could hear massive movements on the machine but I felt nothing so I'm guessing the baby has moved behind my placenta. Have had some more normal movements today so that's less stressful!"

Looking Forward with Optimism

Amy went on to share that she has started taking iron tablets and feels much better as a result. "This weekend we're building the cot (and my new Pilates reformer) so it's ready just in case!" she revealed, showing her preparations are well underway for the new arrival.

The television personality originally announced her pregnancy back in November, expressing both excitement and understandable nerves. At the time she said she was "very excited," but admitted the "nerves are hard to settle" following their previous losses.

In an Instagram post revealing her pregnancy, she wore a knitted bodycon dress that perfectly showed off her bump, accompanied by a beige trench coat. She wrote: "Sam & I are over-the-moon to share…we’re expecting again." As she elaborated on her pregnancy journey, she added: "This time the journey has been longer. After two heartbreaking miscarriages in the last year, we’re both very excited, yet the anxiety and nerves are hard to settle."
