Former Love Island star Amy Hart has revealed she was rushed to hospital for tests after becoming concerned about her unborn baby's movements. The 32-year-old, who is expecting her second child with husband Sam Rason, 38, shared the ordeal on Instagram.
Hart, who has suffered two miscarriages in the past year, said she initially hesitated to seek help, worried she might be overreacting. However, she urged followers to always contact triage if they notice any changes in movement. 'With Stanley I had no pattern at all and an anterior placenta so was always unsure if I was over reacting and being a nuisance,' she wrote.
Thankfully, tests showed the baby's heartbeat was strong, and Hart later confirmed that mother and baby were doing well. 'All good, heartbeat strong and whilst I was on hold I managed to do most of my makeup for work tonight,' she added.
In a follow-up post, Hart thanked fans for their support and explained that the baby had likely moved behind her placenta, causing her to feel fewer movements. 'The midwives could hear massive movements on the machine but I felt nothing,' she said. She also noted she had started iron tablets and felt much better.
Hart announced her pregnancy in November, describing the journey as 'longer' after two heartbreaking miscarriages. She and Rason are parents to their son Stanley, and she said they were 'over-the-moon' to be expecting again.
