Nikki Exotika, star of TLC's 90 Day Fiancé, is recovering in hospital after what has been described as a 'complicated surgery' that resulted in 'excessive bleeding'. The 49-year-old television personality is said to be 'very weak' and 'not doing well', according to a friend who has been providing updates on her condition.
In a social media post, her friend Mike revealed that Nikki had refused a blood transfusion prior to the surgery. He wrote: 'Nicole had a very complicated surgery today and had excessive bleeding. She's in recovery now but very weak, she refused a blood transfusion prior to surgery.' He added that she is being monitored overnight at the hospital.
A further update from Mike indicated that Nikki's blood pressure 'keeps dropping' and that he is 'praying' for her recovery. He said: 'Nicole is not doing well. I've already spoken to her mom as she left me her number to contact her once she was in recovery. Her blood pressure keeps dropping. The only explanation I received was that her blood was very thin which caused her excessive bleeding during surgery and blood pressure keeps dropping to a concerning level to be kept overnight under analysis.'
Nikki, who is a transgender woman, has previously spoken about spending over $1 million on cosmetic surgery, including breast implants, rhinoplasty, and calf implants. In a 2017 interview with Daily Mail, she said: 'I've had over a million dollars of surgery, I only did the calculation recently and struggled to remember everything I've done to myself.' She has also appeared in episodes of Orange is the New Black and Pose.
