Hunter Biden has revealed that his father, former US president Joe Biden, is suffering from prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of his body, causing significant pain. In an interview with the BBC broadcast on Friday, Hunter described the condition as "very painful" and "very debilitating."
Cancer Spread and Impact
"The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further," Hunter Biden said. "It's very painful and it's very debilitating in many respects." He grew emotional while discussing his father's health, calling it "really sad to watch."
Joe Biden, 83, was the oldest person to serve as US president, and his age was a concern throughout his term. He faced criticism for allegedly hiding the extent of his health issues, especially after a poor debate performance against Donald Trump, which led him to drop out of the 2024 race.
Diagnosis and Family Reaction
The former president disclosed his cancer diagnosis in May 2024, less than four months after leaving office. Hunter said the diagnosis has been tough on the family, adding, "I wish he would complain more, because it's not good."
Despite his health, Hunter said his father remains active, speaking publicly on issues he cares about. "He's still doing his thing," Hunter said. "He so believes in this country."
