Perth healthcare clinic to open in former restaurant site by early 2027
Perth healthcare clinic to open in former restaurant site

Construction is underway at a brand-new Spire Healthcare clinic in Perth, in what developers say marks a significant investment in the local community – bringing faster access to expert healthcare closer to home for people across Perthshire and beyond.

Former restaurant site transformed

The Broxden Park development will transform a former restaurant site into a modern healthcare facility offering expert led consultations, diagnostic services and a range of outpatient treatments.

Scheduled to open in early 2027, the clinic will help meet the growing demand for high-quality, accessible healthcare services across the region.

Services and collaboration

Services will include MRI and X-ray diagnostics, alongside appointments with industry leading consultants across a range of specialties.

The clinic will work closely with the Spire Edinburgh Hospitals, Murrayfield and Shawfair Park, allowing patients who require surgery to access specialist treatment at those sites while receiving much of their care closer to home in Perth. Pre-operative assessments, diagnostic testing and post-operative follow-up appointments will all be available locally, significantly reducing the need for travel and improving the overall patient experience. The development is expected to be particularly beneficial for people living in rural and northern parts of Perthshire.

Investment and jobs

Jordan Butler, clinics director at Spire Healthcare, said: “The new Spire Perth Clinic represents an important investment in both the local community and the future of healthcare in Perthshire. We know that people value convenient access to high-quality care, delivered by experienced healthcare professionals, and this new facility will make that possible for more patients across the region. We’re excited to see construction underway and look forward to becoming part of the Perth community when the clinic opens next year.”

The investment will create approximately 20 new roles across nursing, radiography, healthcare support, administration, patient services, housekeeping and engineering. As part of the recruitment campaign, prospective candidates are invited to attend an upcoming recruitment open day, where they will have the opportunity to explore available roles, and learn more about the organisation.

Location and access

Located on Broxden Park Roundabout with direct access from the M90, the site will offer ample free parking and excellent transport links, making it easily accessible for patients travelling from Perthshire and Northern Scotland.

The new clinic forms part of Spire Healthcare’s wider investment in community-based healthcare, extending access to expert-led services beyond traditional hospital settings and complementing its network of 38 hospitals across Scotland, England and Wales.
