A man has died after suffering a heart attack on a street in Wigan. Emergency services were called to Gidlow Lane following reports of a man in cardiac arrest on Sunday (September 27).
Emergency response
Medical professionals attempted to save the man's life, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A small section of Gidlow Lane was cordoned off as part of the scene yesterday afternoon.
Police statement
A spokesperson for GMP said: "We were called at 5.15pm yesterday (27/09/26) to reports of a man in cardiac arrest on Gidlow Lane.
"Emergency services attended but despite the best efforts of medical professionals, sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
