Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has undergone a scan after suffering a suspected hamstring injury while playing for Germany. The 27-year-old was forced off in the 30th minute of his country's 1-1 draw away to the Netherlands in their Nations League opener.
Havertz had been caught by a high challenge from Crystal Palace's Quinten Timber, the brother of his Arsenal team-mate Jurrien. Germany manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed after the match, in which his side conceded a 92nd-minute equaliser, that both Havertz and Jamal Musiala, who felt a twinge in his thigh during the warm-up, would have scans.

"Both will undergo scans tonight," Klopp said after his first game as Germany boss. "They're probably out for us, but I hope they'll be back soon (for their clubs)."
Havertz was only called up for two of Germany's four games this international window, with Klopp deciding to split his squad of 44 players in half. Their next game is at home to Greece on Sunday.
Arsenal's concerns and busy schedule
Mikel Arteta will be hoping that Havertz's injury proves not to be serious, with the former Chelsea man having started all five of Arsenal's Premier League games this season, scoring three goals in all competitions. Havertz's form has seen him successfully dislodge Viktor Gyokeres as Arteta's first-choice striker.
The Gunners have a packed schedule following the international break. Arsenal play nine games in 27 days, including clashes with Bayern Munich and Liverpool. Arteta's side had a perfect record until Brighton beat them 3-0 last Saturday, allowing Manchester City to leapfrog them at the top of the Premier League table.
Havertz's importance to Arteta
Havertz's form was key to their strong start. The 27-year-old had an injury-hit season last time out but returned to full fitness towards the end of the campaign, scoring in the Champions League final. "Kai is extremely intelligent, that's his biggest quality," Arteta recently said. "He is five seconds ahead of the game and he just makes the people around him better. He is scoring goals, producing chances, his work rate is outstanding and he is in an outstanding emotional state."
Havertz faces a race against time to be available for Arsenal's next game. The Gunners welcome Leeds to the Emirates on Saturday, October 10 in the 12:30 kick-off. They then return to Champions League action by hosting Lille before consecutive away games against Nottingham Forest and Bayern.
