Jasmine Harman, the 50-year-old presenter of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, has disclosed that she underwent a hernia operation, which has necessitated a break from work. In a candid Instagram video on Monday, she explained that she is recuperating from the procedure and will be taking it easy for a few weeks.

Harman, who has been a fixture on the property show since 2004, told her followers: 'Normally on a Monday morning, if I'm not working, I would be doing my Zumba class. Today I'm not doing it. Reason being, I'm recovering from surgery, I had to have a small surgical procedure - nothing serious - just a little hernia operation.' She added that although the operation was minor, any surgery can be draining, and she is following strict instructions to rest.
