Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have been seen carrying a newborn baby, one year after the revelation of Abby's secret wedding. The 34-year-old sisters were photographed holding a baby in a car seat near a vehicle in Arden Hills, Minnesota, on Thursday.
The public sighting comes after Abby married Joshua Bowling, a father-of-one, in 2021. The wedding was made public last year when Joshua shared a picture on Facebook showing the couple with Brittany. The family had previously sparked pregnancy rumours in December by posting an uncaptioned TikTok video featuring fake news headlines, including one that read 'Married & baby on the way'.
Abby and Brittany rose to fame on reality TV, first appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996 at age six. They now work as teachers in Minnesota. The twins are among the rarest conjoined twins, originating from a single fertilised egg that failed to fully separate. They have two brains, two spinal cords, and two hearts, but share organs below the waist. Abby controls the right arm and leg, while Brittany controls the left.
In a previous documentary, the twins said: 'People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons. But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do.'
