A blind rescue dog named Rigas, who lost both eyes after a severe illness, is desperately seeking a forever home. Despite his disability, the gentle canine has adapted remarkably and is described as loving and courageous by his carers in Greece.
Rigas fell seriously ill and required the removal of both eyes, but he has since recovered and learned to navigate using his other senses. His carers say he approaches life with trust and confidence, forming deep bonds with people.
Now fully recovered, Rigas is ready for adoption. He would suit a patient and compassionate owner who understands that blind dogs can adapt well and often form stronger connections with their owners. He is able to travel abroad for the right home.
Those supporting him urge people not to overlook him because of his disability, saying: 'He’s already lost his sight. Let’s not let him lose his chance at a home too.' Interested adopters can visit Greek Stray RESQ's website for more information.
