Janet Street-Porter Shares Recovery Update from Rehab After Hip Surgery

Janet Street-Porter has given fans another health update as she continues her recovery from hip surgery. The 77-year-old Loose Women star shared a photo of herself exercising in rehab on Thursday, just days after undergoing the operation.

In the image posted on Instagram, Street-Porter is seen smiling while using parallel bars, wearing black sweatpants and a yellow jumper. She joked about her 'panic button' necklace in the caption, writing: 'Day 6 and I've joined the call button wearing community! Trying to obey Annie's orders and put feet in right order.'

The update follows a hospital bed selfie earlier this week, where she appeared in good spirits despite having a breathing tube. She captioned that post: 'Three hours after hip replacement-masses of strong pain relief resulted in huge smile of relief! Then the drugs wore off...but I'm walking with a trolley HOORAY XX.'

Street-Porter announced her temporary departure from Loose Women last week, admitting she was nervous about the procedure. Co-star Christine Lampard told viewers it was her 'last day for a little while', and Coleen Nolan presented her with a gift basket.

Famous friends including Katie Piper, Martin Kemp, and Ruth Langsford have sent their well-wishes. Langsford wrote: 'It’s done Janet! Good to see you smiling... Missing you….get back to soon!'
