Jodie Marsh 'Broken Beyond Belief' After Farm Fire Kills Two Marmosets

Jodie Marsh has spoken of her devastation after a fire at her Essex farm killed two baby marmosets. The former reality star, 47, broke down in a video on Instagram Stories, saying she was 'broken beyond belief' by the loss.

The fire broke out at Fripps Farm in Uttlesford on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were called at 4.56pm and found a blaze in an upstairs bedroom. The cause has been recorded as accidental, started by an electrical item.

In an emotional statement, Marsh said she had been hand-rearing the marmosets after their mother died giving birth. 'Those babies meant everything to me. I am so broken, so broken,' she said. 'I don't care about my house being destroyed. The only thing I care about is that I lost two baby marmosets.'

The farm is home to hundreds of rescued animals, including emus, llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, deer, peacocks, chickens, geese and ducks. Marsh claims she spends £25,000 a month to maintain the sanctuary, funded partly through social media and OnlyFans.

Marsh said she now plans to move 'far, far away' following the tragedy. The farm has previously faced controversy, with campaigners accusing Marsh of animal cruelty and poor living conditions, allegations she denies.
