Fernando, a mixed-breed dog from Egypt, is now looking for a loving family in the UK after being cruelly thrown to the ground when he was just two months old. The rescue charity Miracle's Mission is helping him find a new home.
His rescuer spotted a young man holding him up by his neck before throwing him hard to the ground. Horrified, she approached the man and asked him to hand over the puppy, but he demanded money before agreeing to give Fernando up. She paid him and took the frightened dog to safety.
Rescue and care
Fernando spent his first few months living with his rescuer, where he received vaccinations, was microchipped, treated for fleas and ticks, and dewormed. He was also neutered when he reached the appropriate age.
After spending time in a home environment, Fernando was moved to boarding, where he has been living alongside other dogs and cats and getting on well with them all.
Looking for a forever home
Although Fernando can be a little shy at first, he is described as a lovely, playful boy who gets on well with dogs, cats, people, and children. He will need a home with another dog for company, as well as a family who understands that he is still young and will need to learn basic life skills.
Miracle's Mission is looking for an active home that can offer Fernando plenty of enrichment, stimulation, and opportunities to play as he settles into his new life.
