Energy giant OVO is offering customers Tesco Clubcard vouchers worth up to £800 if they install solar panels. The deal provides £400 of vouchers, equivalent to 40,000 Clubcard points, with the value rising to £800 when exchanged through Tesco's Clubcard Reward Partners.
Solar adoption at record levels
The offer comes as solar panel installations reach a 15-year high, according to the company. March 2026 saw 27,607 new solar installations, the highest number recorded in any single month since 2012. Total UK installed capacity now stands above 22.8 GW as of the end of June 2026.
Despite the surge, cost remains the biggest barrier for households. A 2026 survey of more than 2,300 energy consumers across England and Wales found that 52% cite upfront cost as the main reason for not installing solar panels.
How the offer works
Customers who buy a qualifying solar PV system through OVO Solar & Heating will receive the points. The average cost of a typical system for a 3-bed home is £7,500. The deal is available to the more than 24 million UK households with a Tesco Clubcard.

Qualifying conditions
To qualify, customers must buy a qualifying solar PV installation from an authorised OVO Solar & Heating installer, get a quote, and complete the installation. After signing the handover documents, OVO sends an email within 24 hours inviting the customer to link their Tesco Clubcard account. The customer must submit valid Clubcard details within 90 days of receiving that email.
The 40,000 points are credited within 14 days of submission. Points can be spent at Tesco or with any of Tesco's 100+ Clubcard Reward Partners, for up to three times the value. Applicants must be homeowners aged 18 or over, and the offer does not apply to businesses or customers in Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.
