WNO partners with Aaron & Partners for North Wales season

Welsh National Opera (WNO) has struck a new partnership agreement with law firm Aaron & Partners to support its North Wales events programme.

With offices across Cheshire, Shropshire, Wirral and Greater Manchester, the Legal 500 listed business will become the opera company’s official North Wales sponsor for its 2026/27 season.

Supporting performances across North Wales

Aaron & Partners will support WNO’s programme of performances and activity across the region during 2026/27, which includes visits to Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Theatr Clwyd in Mold and orchestral performances in Newtown. This year WNO is celebrating its 80th anniversary.

The partnership agreement will give clients and employees of the law firm access to cultural and behind-the-scenes experiences at the opera company.

Leaders welcome the partnership

WNO co-general directors and chief executives Adele Thomas and Sarah Crabtree said: “We are thrilled to welcome Aaron & Partners as our North Wales sponsor for our forthcoming 26/27 season.

“Their strong roots in the region and shared commitment to supporting thriving communities make them a natural partner for Welsh National Opera.

“Together, we look forward to strengthening our presence across North Wales, building new relationships and ensuring even more people can experience the power and excitement of live opera and orchestral performance.”

Law firm’s ties to the region

Helen Watson, senior partner and head of employment law at Aaron and Partners, is also the chair of Theatr Clwyd – a position she has held for the last five years.

She said: “This is a really exciting partnership for Aaron & Partners and we can’t wait for the Welsh National Opera’s new season to get underway this autumn.

“We’ve worked closely with WNO for a few years already and supported their programme across North Wales, so this was a natural extension of our partnership.

“This is a world-class production that often tours internationally, so we’re incredibly proud to be supporting their domestic programme with events at Theatr Clwyd, Venue Cymru and Newtown, ensuring local communities get a chance to see their iconic performances.”
