Donald Trump shared an AI-generated video of himself as a doctor treating celebrities for 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' just days before America's 250th birthday. The bizarre pharmaceutical-style ad shows the President in a white coat labeled 'Dr Trump' featuring testimonials from celebrities who oppose him.
AI-generated testimonials from celebrities
Robert De Niro, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Roberts and Edward Norton were among the celebrities who 'attested' to the effectiveness of Trump's treatment plan. An AI version of De Niro said, 'I had no idea how much this was affecting my life. My work has slowed down. I'm hardly recognisable anymore. I just needed help. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. Constantly angry. I made everyone miserable around me.'
Trump offered a solution for the fictional 'TDS', which he uses as an insult for anyone who opposes him. 'Turn off fake news. Say your prayers and, if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me and you're gonna see a remarkable difference in your life,' he said in the video.
Timing and recent behavior
The video was released just days before America's 250th birthday celebration. The President's erratic posting and recent behavior have somewhat overshadowed the event. Just yesterday, Trump was filmed speaking to an AI version of Theodore Roosevelt in the new presidential library in North Dakota. Trump later bragged about the conversation, sparking debate over whether he believed the AI model was real, furthering worries about his mental state.
One person wrote on X: 'Trump claimed that he spoke with Teddy Roosevelt. If it were Biden, the conservative social media would have pushed it until the mainstream media felt compelled to cover it.'
Concerns about mental health
Worries about Trump's mental state have increased in recent months. His own niece, Mary Trump, said her uncle's 'decaying' health can no longer be ignored and claimed he was in a 'downward spiral'.
