Fire crews are continuing to tackle a major blaze at a farm building in Kirkintilloch, with a massive plume of smoke visible across the area. Emergency services were called to the scene on Langmuir Road at around 2:10 PM on Saturday, July 18.
Six Appliances at Peak
At the height of the fire, six crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were in attendance, along with specialist resources. As of 5:30 PM, four appliances remained at the scene. Aerial images show flames leaping from the building and thick grey smoke billowing into the sky.
No Casualties Reported
A spokesperson for the SFRS confirmed there have been no casualties. The area surrounding the fire has been cordoned off for safety. Police Scotland has been approached for comment but has not yet responded.
