Thirteen fruit pot products containing apples and kiwis sold at six major UK retailers have been urgently recalled due to the risk of Salmonella contamination. The products, distributed by Prepworld, were available at Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S, Waitrose, Morrisons, and ASDA. Shoppers are advised not to eat the affected fruit and to return it to their nearest store for a full refund, even without a receipt.
Affected Products and Dates
The recall covers a range of fruit pots with best-before or use-by dates of 23 or 24 June 2026. The full list includes:

Salmonella Symptoms
Most people infected with Salmonella experience diarrhoea, fever, and stomach cramps. Additional symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, chills, headache, and blood in the stool. Dehydration and exhaustion may also occur as a result of these symptoms.
Retailer Response
All affected stores have been instructed to display recall notices. Tesco advised shoppers who have bought the recalled fruit not to eat it and to return it to any Tesco store for a full refund. Asda confirmed they would issue a full refund even without a receipt. Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and M&S issued similar point-of-sale notices, asking customers to return the fruit to their nearest stores for a full refund, also without requiring a receipt.
