The Made in Manchester festival is returning to Stockport over the August bank holiday weekend, with children admitted free of charge. The event will take place at a new location, Waterside Farm, on Saturday August 29 and Sunday August 30.
Now under new ownership, the festival promises a packed music line-up featuring live tribute acts and a headline set from world famous DJ Judge Jules on the Saturday night. Daytime activities include funfair rides, giant slides, inflatables, and walkaround cartoon characters.
New Ownership and Location
Renowned street food trader Eddie Osman, famous for his Porky Pig carvery at Manchester Christmas Markets, has taken over the festival this year. He has been involved with the catering of the festival for the past seven years.
Eddie said: "The new site for the festival is brilliant, in a lovely area, and we've got lots on across the bank holiday weekend. There's been an enormous amount of work behind the scenes to bring this event to life, and I couldn't be prouder of what the team has created."
He added: "From the live music and family entertainment to the rides, attractions and everything in between, we've worked hard to make sure there's something for every generation to enjoy. We want Made In Manchester Festival to be a weekend where families and friends can come together, make memories and celebrate everything that's great about our community. We can't wait to open the gates and welcome everyone to Waterside Farm for the very first time."
Weekend Line-Up and Activities
Saturday will showcase Manchester's iconic music scene, with performances inspired by Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Stone Roses, Kasabian, The Smiths, Gerry Cinnamon, and Happy Mondays. The Ibiza Anthems Dance Tent will feature Judge Jules, Kevin & Perry Go Large, DJ Danny B, and DJ Tristan Walsh.
