Harriet Cowan Says Jeremy Clarkson 'Missed a Trick' at Diddly Squat
Harriet Cowan: Clarkson Missed a Trick at Diddly Squat

Harriet Cowan, one of the breakout stars of Clarkson's Farm, has claimed that Jeremy Clarkson missed a trick when she visited Diddly Squat Farm with her father. The visit took place during Cereals 2026, a renowned farming event held at the farm, which featured numerous stalls, exhibits, and food stands.

The Soil Hole Joke

One of the areas at the event was called the Soil Hole, described by a sign as focusing on 'the science of regenerative agriculture.' In a video posted on her YouTube channel, Harriet and her father joked that it should have been called Clarkson's Hole instead. She asked her dad, 'What we found?' He replied, 'Jeremy's hole.' Harriet added, 'This should say Jeremy's hole. He really missed a trick there.'

Life After the Show

Harriet, 25, became a household name after her debut on Clarkson's Farm, where she temporarily replaced Kaleb Cooper. However, the sudden limelight had a significant impact on her life, leading her to quit her full-time job as a nurse. Speaking to Hello! magazine, she said, 'When the show first came out, I turned my phone off for a while because I was like, "This is insane." I was being recognised by patients.' Despite leaving nursing, she hasn't ruled out a return, stating, 'I've still got my PIN - I will keep that because I worked so hard to become a nurse.'

Working with Jeremy Clarkson

Harriet has also spoken about her experience working with Jeremy Clarkson on the Amazon Prime Video series. In an interview with the Fed by Farmers podcast, she described him as 'marmite,' adding, 'I love that guy, I think he just doesn't care which is great. He was like a father figure to me when I was there, he was really lovely.'

Impact on Agriculture

Harriet praised Clarkson's work for improving inclusivity for women in agriculture. She explained, 'It's a lot better than it ever has been. I think there's certain things, certain places, certain people that aren't happy with it, and I think before, like Clarkson's, people would be like "she don't have a clue." I don't know if I'm the wrong person to comment on it because obviously people know what I can do off of the show. In one way that's really good, and then in another way, they've got a preconceived idea of what you're gonna be like.'
