Tarot Horoscope July 20-26: Saturn Retrograde and Leo Season Clash
Tarot Horoscope July 20-26: Saturn Retrograde and Leo Season

All hail Leo season, the zodiac's regal lions are on parade this week, along with the start of a Saturn retrograde. This is a slightly confusing clash of energies, but they do meet in the middle when it comes to responsibility. Both urge us to take on what is uniquely ours to lead, own, or deliver, and also to drop what is not. Streamline your accountabilities so you can give full focus to what is totally yours to do. Other folk will let you do their stuff all day long, so question what you might have gotten tangled up in that you need extraction from. Let the tarot cards guide you towards the responsibility you don't need to own anymore, and how to drop out of it this week!

Aries (March 21 - April 20)

Tarot card: King of Wands. This summer is a time to focus on your own goals, ambitions, challenges and targets. To do that, you need to relinquish the habit of doing stuff that isn't uniquely yours to do. Ditch, delegate and delay. This is not selfishness; it is serving yourself first, before others, so that you don't feel resentful, frustrated or fatigued by other people's business. Be the King of Wands. Lead by example. Accept that some folk might do the same to you, and that's fair enough. If we each owned our own business, the world might run smoother. Show them how.

Taurus (April 21 - May 21)

Tarot card: Six of Wands. You're going to get lucky this week with an unexpected event that exposes a task or chore you've been doing for someone that you shouldn't be, and how wrong it is that this other person isn't taking their fair share. You almost don't need to say or do anything more; this situation is being corrected by fate. The revelation will likely shame the person into picking up their slack, and you must let them. Don't get possessive. This was never your ball game. You have other games in play, so get back to them. In six weeks' time, you will look back on all this with amazement at how you ever carried it on for so long.

Gemini (May 22 - June 21)

Tarot card: Eight of Swords. You are mentally weighed down by second guessing, overthinking, assuming and analysing what other folk might think about you. It's exhausting. And really, whatever is going on in their minds is none of your business. Truthfully, it's likely nothing about you at all. Everyone is fixated on their own realm. So, stop all of that wondering and daydreaming and projecting. Let your mind return to focusing on you, and you alone, and the folk you do good for. The others can take care of themselves, and the less you think about them, the less of a hold their actions or opinions will have over you. Liberation.

Cancer (June 22 - July 23)

Tarot card: Page of Cups. This is the inner child card, which suggests you are either carrying, or avoiding, responsibilities that are linked to a childhood self. Perhaps appeasing a parent or sibling, or letting them do too much. Perhaps people-pleasing in general. Perhaps wanting to avoid the crushing daily demands of adulting. Examine your realm for pinch points when it comes to responsibility, accountability, who does what. Where is there tension? Can this be linked to a childhood belief, expectation, or pattern? Is this the time to unhook from that and establish a new normal? You decide.

Leo (July 24 - August 23)

Tarot card: The Wheel of Fortune. You have been longing for change, and maybe wishing for someone else to come in and pick up the baton, then wake you up when everything is done and dusted. The Wheel of Fortune promises a change is coming but that you must be the one to activate it. All you have to do is make one bold, overt, proactive step. Do that and the Universe will receive the signal. From there, momentum will pick up and things will happen; maybe not to your exact specifications or expectations, but bear with the process because it'll be alright in the end. The phase of transition and transformation is beginning. Hop on board!

Virgo (August 24 - September 23)

Tarot card: Ten of Coins. It feels like you're burdened with thinking through other folks' problems right now, projecting where things are heading and how to troubleshoot or avert further issues for them. It's quite mentally draining but, maybe because you're so good at it, you could end up running their lives (in your head, since they don't actually listen or take your advice half of the time) for the foreseeable. Is that sustainable? Is that useful? Nope. So, unhook yourself from their control panel and revert your gaze to your own trajectory. Let them make their own mistakes; it's the only way they will live, learn and improve.

Libra (September 24 - October 23)

Tarot card: Ten of Wands. The theme of this week is overwhelm and getting your head above water again so you can breathe easier, see clearer, and take control of what is yours to deal with, then let the rest of it sink. The Ten of Wands is a burnout card and a nudge that if you go on trying to carry the load currently on your back, you will falter. It's too heavy, it's too much, it's not fair. Make a new plan. Make a new list. Clarify the things you're simply not going to do anymore, or at least right now, and make that clear. Boundary-setting is important. It will help you more than anything right now.

Scorpio (October 24 - November 22)

Tarot card: Queen of Coins. This Queen makes me wonder if you're taking on more than you should (possibly at work, or in the home) to impress someone, stamp your authority, show your strength, or prove a point. Often we're asked to do the job of the person above us before we can be considered for promotion. Often we will help our partner or family to prove our love, but this can be abused and taken for granted. Examine where you stepped up to do something outside of your accountabilities, which now has become a new normal. Maybe it's time to redress that, and step back down again. If the rewards or returns are not there, then why carry on? Write it off. Return to where you stood before. See how long before they notice, and then you can have an interesting conversation about it.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21)

Tarot card: The Lovers. This card suggests you have blown a little hot and cold over your chores, obligations or duties recently. Maybe out of frustration or even ambiguity; maybe it's not really clear who should be owning what, something that naturally raises sensitivities and defences. Folk feel under attack. Look at this possibility and notice if a lack of certainty about key responsibilities could have caused tensions and noise. If so, then make this a week of establishing clarity, letting folk know what's what and coming to a resolution about it. Don't let it fester and cause more trouble. When people know what's expected, then it's on them to deliver it, or not. Be the one who makes that clear. And then things will settle right back down.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 21)

Tarot card: Page of Wands. You've been juggling extra balls recently, and this has led to some unorthodox approaches to your usual schedule or routine. Some of it has actually proven successful and you might keep it going. Some of it, however, has been overly demanding and unworkable, and you should drop it. Be flexible. Be ready to chop and change your to-do list as new things rise and fall. Not everything agreed to remains on the agenda forever. Be swift to challenge and remove things which no one else deems important anymore. Don't carry on for the sake of it. Your time and energy are too precious to squander.

Aquarius (January 22 - February 19)

Tarot card: The Sun. You know the one thing you don't take enough responsibility for? Creating your own happiness! And if you did treat that as an objective, a project, a role, I think you'd be amazed at the difference it makes. So, start treating your body like your first home. Make sure you're fed, watered, rested, strengthened, maintained. Create things to look forward to. Feed your mind healthy, fascinating stimulus and not doomscrolled nonsense. Be with folk who are good to you. Invest in your foundations and sense of security. Plan wonderful adventures every day, escapades for your mind, body and spirit.

Pisces (February 20 - March 20)

Tarot card: The Devil. Responsibility can be a poisoned chalice for Piscean folk. Sometimes you don't want a bean of it, not one scrap, preferring to float like a happy cloud, untethered by conflict resolution, chores or demanding activities. But sometimes, you take too much of it on, guilt-stricken, people pleasing, trying to solve other people's problems. And then you yo-yo from one extreme to another. Perhaps this is a nudge to find your happy equilibrium, starting with what is yours to uniquely own, do and deliver. Start there and do it well, and you'll be able see what's left over to spare at the end! Recalibrate.
