Swansea Grand Announces Christmas Panto 'Snow White' with Star Cast
Swansea Grand Reveals Star-Studded 'Snow White' Panto Cast

The Swansea Grand Theatre has announced the star-studded cast for its 2026 Christmas pantomime, Snow White, with BBC Radio 2 presenter Owain Wyn Evans making his debut at the venue. Known for his work on Homes Under the Hammer, Evans will perform as the magical spirit of the forest, marking his first appearance in Swansea after previous panto stints in Cardiff.

A Star-Studded Line-Up

Joining Evans is Rebecca Keatley, one of the longest-serving presenters on CBeebies, who will play Snow White. Keatley has appeared in twelve CBeebies pantomimes, award-winning Shakespeare productions, and the CBeebies Proms. She expressed her excitement: "I am thrilled to be heading to Wales this Christmas and returning to the stage at The Swansea Grand Theatre as Snow White. I am super excited to be working with such an incredible cast and crew."

Suzanne Shaw, who rose to fame as part of pop group Hear'Say and has since starred in musical theatre productions including Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Rocky Horror Show, will play the Wicked Queen. Swansea-born actor, writer, and director Christian Patterson will portray her Henchman.

Comedy and Tradition

Steve Walls, a renowned actor and vocalist celebrating his 30th year as a panto comic, will provide laughter. Regular Swansea Grand panto star Kev Johns returns in a digital capacity as the Dame in the Mirror, following his battle with cancer and a stroke earlier this year. Johns said: "I am delighted to have a very different role in this year’s panto playing the Dame in the Mirror. Panto is so special to me, so although I can’t be there giving my usual performance this is the next best thing. The people of Swansea still get to see me in a dress this year!"

Performance Details

Snow White runs from Saturday, December 5, 2026, to January 3, 2027. Tickets are available from £22.50. The production promises excitement, magic, and plenty of sparkly moments, as Evans noted: "I can’t wait to be spending Christmas in Swansea for Snow White! The Swansea Grand has always had a place in my heart, and to be taking to the stage there for Panto this year is going to be very special."
