Solardo Secret Liverpool Gig After Hundreds Came Last Time

Another secret gig has been announced for Liverpool after hundreds turned up to the first one. On Saturday, July 11, production duo Mark Richards & James Eliot, famously known as Solardo, will be making the journey down the M62 to take over an unknown Liverpool venue for a five-hour event.

Solardo's Background and Hits

The Manchester pair are among the biggest names in the global tech house scene, having built an international following with their high-energy productions and festival performances. They are best known for their club hits Tribesmen, XTC, Be Somebody and Move Your Body. However, through their record label Sola Records, they have remixed music for some of music's biggest names, including David Guetta, MK and Black Coffee.

The event is being held by AU Vodka. A spokesperson for the company said: “Following the overwhelming excitement surrounding the Au Vodka x Solardo partnership, especially in Liverpool, we’ve made the decision to reveal the event location to confirmed guests the evening before. Previous Secret Gig with MK

The city last held a similar event in September last year with house music star MK headlining it. Hundreds turned up at Liverpool's Baltic Triangle for the performance. Prior to the turnout, the American DJ and producer, whose real name is Marc Kinchen, had been teasing fans with cryptic messages on social media in the days leading up to the event. On his Instagram, he urged his 337,000 followers to "Come Find Me" as part of a surprise release party for his new single of the same name. Known for hits like 17, Piece of Me, My Head is a Jungle, Dior, Rhyme Dust, and Chemical, MK’s announcement created significant buzz among Liverpool’s music lovers.

Fans were invited to pre-save the new track Come Find Me, after which they received a text message on Friday, September 26, revealing the secret location of the event. The venue details were unveiled at 5.45pm, leaving fans just 15 minutes to make their way to the site. The event marked MK’s return to Liverpool after a November 2024 appearance at Blackstone Street Warehouse, where he teamed up with local events organisation Circus for another memorable set.

Solardo's History in Liverpool

Solardo are also no strangers to Liverpool, having performed in the city several times over the years at venues including the Arts Club, Camp and Furnace, Blackstone Street Warehouse and Mansion, as well as bringing their own Higher event brand to the city.
