The dramatic turn of events follows weeks of suspicion surrounding Serena, who arrived in the village as a friendly confidante but has been hiding a dangerous agenda.
Serena's Suspicious Behaviour Raises Alarm
From the moment she set foot in Emmerdale, Serena seemed too good to be true. She quickly befriended Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) after her nervous breakdown at the lake, caused by Doctor Todd's horrific assault and the stress of her surrogacy baby lie. She also struck up an alarmingly fast friendship with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). But her interest in the village's dark past soon became apparent: Serena was fishing for information about the murderous medic John, Robert's evil half-brother.
