Prince William has made a surprise appearance on Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, with the episode released on the day the NFL star is expected to marry pop superstar Taylor Swift. A teaser for the episode, dropping later today, shows the Prince of Wales joining the sports podcast co-hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason.
Prince William Joins via Video Link
In the teaser, Jason Kelce excitedly introduces William, who appears via video link, saying: "Our guest today is the six-foot-three Prince from London, England. That's right, the President of the English Football Association, the Vice-Royal Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Cornwall, the Lord of the Isles, Prince and Great Steward of Scotland, Earl of Chester and the Prince of Wales, please welcome his Royal Highness, Prince William!" The full episode is set to be released at 5pm today.
William's Previous Meetings with Swift and Kelce
William has met Swift several times, including during a Wembley Stadium show in 2024 attended by his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. He also met Kelce at the same London show, and recently joked on a radio interview that he hoped to get an invite to their wedding. Kelce later recalled the meeting on his podcast: "They were an absolute delight to me. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to bow to them or curtsy, or just be an American idiot and shake their hand." Jason Kelce also met the royals and described Princess Charlotte as "so f****** adorable," adding: "Maybe it's because I have three girls now, but she had fire to her, she was asking questions, that was the most electric part of it."
Wedding Expected at Madison Square Garden
Swift and Kelce are poised to marry inside Madison Square Garden, which has undergone extensive preparations over the past few days. They have reportedly invited 1,000 guests to the Friday evening event. Among the expected attendees are the Haim sisters (Este, Danielle, and Alana), singers Ed Sheeran and Suki Waterhouse, and several of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates. The New York Knicks' starting five—Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns—have also reportedly been invited, following their historic NBA championship victory a few weeks ago. Although the couple has not publicly confirmed wedding details, crews have been seen unloading equipment from trucks outside Madison Square Garden, including a large carpet.
