Newsham Scream Park Returns to Liverpool in 2026 with Four New Scare Mazes
Newsham Scream Park Returns in 2026 with New Mazes

Newsham Scream Park will return to Liverpool this October with a completely reimagined experience, featuring four brand-new scare mazes and a redesigned site. Set inside the historic Newsham Park Hospital, the event will open to the public from Friday, October 9, 2026, marking its fourth season with its biggest event yet.

History of Newsham Park Hospital

Newsham Park Hospital was first built as an orphanage for the children of British seamen in 1879. It later became a hospital and an asylum, and in recent years it has been used for Halloween events. This year, the Newsham Scream Park events will return with four brand-new scare mazes, a redesigned site and a reimagined guest experience.

New Features for 2026

This year's event will introduce four completely original scare mazes, each with its own storyline, characters and terrifying surprises. Rather than bringing back previous attractions, the experiences have been inspired by the moments guests have loved the most over the past few years. Designed to keep returning visitors guessing, the scare mazes will deliver the pulse-racing storytelling and spine-tingling scares Newsham Scream Park has become known for.

Following feedback from previous seasons, the entire site has been reconfigured to create a better guest journey and build anticipation from the moment visitors arrive. The courtyard will also return as the social hub of the Newsham Scream Park experience, serving food, drinks and live music throughout the evening.

Director's Statement

Kevin Midgley, Director of Newsham Scream Park, said: "When we were planning this year's event, we kept coming back to one question – what did our guests love most, and how could we make it even better? Every decision we've made has been driven by the people who have supported us over the last three years. We've taken everything we've learned and completely reimagined the experience. Every maze is brand new, the site has been redesigned and we've introduced a whole new layout that keeps the suspense building from the moment guests arrive. Even if you've visited every year since we opened, you won't know what's waiting around the next corner."
