Manchester nightclub Joshua Brooks has announced a major schedule change for Saturday, July 11, moving DJ James Zabiela's set six hours earlier to accommodate England's World Cup quarter-final match against Norway. The match kicks off at 10pm BST.
Venue Adjusts Timings for England Match
The popular bar and entertainment spot on Princess Street, known for its underground club space and regular house, techno, jungle, and drum & bass DJs, originally had Zabiela scheduled to perform from 10pm. However, the clash with the England match prompted the venue to shift the set to 4pm-10pm instead.
In a social media post, Joshua Brooks stated: "Following the incredible response to every England World Cup screening so far, we've worked with James Zabiela's team to bring the event forward by six hours. This means you can now spend the afternoon with James before staying for England v Norway, live across the event big screen from 10pm."
Ticket Details and Other Venues
The venue assured ticket holders that existing tickets remain valid and will automatically transfer to the new start time. Joshua Brooks is one of many venues across Manchester showing the match, offering air-conditioned clubhouse booths, bar tables, £8.50 two-pint steins, and a next goalscorer sweepstake. While match-day table options for groups have sold out, free standing entry tickets are still available.
The change follows a similar adjustment by The Streets, who moved their Saturday night Sounds of the City show at Castlefield Bowl an hour earlier, finishing at 9:30pm so fans can catch the football kick-off at 10pm.
