Manchester United have launched their new away kit for the 2026/27 season, returning to a bold blue look. The adidas shirt is now available and revisits one of the club's most iconic away identities.
Design details
The kit features the classic adidas trefoil logo instead of the performance logo on the home shirt, with red and white trim. A central tonal stripe runs through the fabric, inspired by the River Irwell. The adidas three stripes appear in red on the shoulders, and the club crest sits over the heart.
Historic return
United have not worn a bold blue away kit since the 2016/17 season under Jose Mourinho. The style was regular during the 1980s. The new kit was seen on rapper Stormzy during Sunday's World Cup final in New Jersey.
Official statement
United said: "Manchester United and adidas have unveiled the new away jersey for the 2026/27 season, in a design that revisits one of the club's most iconic away identities through a modern lens." The jersey uses lightweight, body-mapped 3D engineered fabrics for enhanced fit and movement.
