Lidl has launched a new autumnal range featuring cast iron cookware, including a large pumpkin-shaped casserole dish at £34.99 and a smaller two-pack for under £10. The Silvercrest 28cm Cast-Iron Pumpkin Casserole Dish is available in stores from Thursday October 1 and could save shoppers £280 compared to branded alternatives.

A similar pumpkin-shaped casserole dish from Le Creuset retails for £315. With a 2.5 litre capacity, the dish is suitable for autumnal batch cooking or hosting family and friends. It is designed for everything from risottos and Sunday roasts to hearty stews and warming soups, and can even be used to bake bread, cakes and desserts.
