Love Island's Sean Fitzgerald and Lola Deal have been warned that a "big test" is on the way, just days after becoming officially "locked off" in the villa. Former Love Islander Kaz Kamwi has predicted that the couple could face a major challenge from producers following their decision to go exclusive.
Sean and Lola's Villa Romance
Earlier this week, Sean made things official with Lola after just one week in the villa. The duo paired up on the first day and have enjoyed smooth sailing ever since. After eight blissful days together, primary school teacher Fitzy took the former police detective to the terrace to express his feelings and essentially become exclusive.
Kaz Kamwi's Warning
Ex-Islander Kaz Kamwi, who featured in series seven and All Stars series one, shared her thoughts on the couple. Speaking to BestBettingSites.co.uk, Kaz said: "They remind me of like really OG Love Island where it's like you've just gone in and you're just doing whatever." She added: "Do I think the producers are going to bring a really, really, really, really big test their way? Absolutely because everyone has to have a journey and they're not going to leave them to just vibe."
Kaz expressed hope that the couple would pass the test but acknowledged the challenge ahead. "I hope they pass it but I think they're not just going to be left to just sail. I don't know what direction they'll [the producers] go in but it's going to come." She also noted: "I like them a lot. I know it might put a target on their backs from some people being like 'it's too early' but I just think when you know what you like and you're happy, why not?"
Robyn Langton's Support
Since her departure from the villa, Robyn Langton, who was ousted at the most recent recoupling, has claimed that Sean and Lola are genuinely in love. In her exit interview, the Liverpudlian DJ said: "They are the real deal. We were honestly in awe of them. Watching them all day, I was like, 'Why can't I have that?'" She added: "They are amazing, gorgeous people independently, and together they are just absolutely incredible. I'm definitely rooting for them to win."
Love Island's 'Test' Tradition
In typical Love Island style, strong couples are often put to the "test" by producers, whether that's an ex-partner entering the villa as a bombshell or a challenge dredging up the past. Fans will recall in series four, Dani Dyer was left devastated when her partner Jack Fincham's ex Ellie Jones made a surprise entrance into the villa during Casa Amor. However, the couple managed to pass the "test" and went on to triumph in the 2018 show.
Love Island airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
