Love Island 2026 Winners Could Be a Tie in Final Twist

Two Love Island couples could be in the running to win this year's final, with some former contestants suggesting a tie might be on the cards for the first time in the show's history.

Sunday night's episode (July 26) saw Mica Harris and Samraj Toor get the boot from the public, but in a shocking twist, they were then given the power to choose another couple to leave the villa with them, reducing the final four couples to three just before the final.

Former Contestants Weigh In

The Mirror spoke to Charleen Murphy, Mara Pirez, Ope Sowande, Lola Deal, and Sean Fitzgerald, asking them which remaining couple they think will win. Most agreed on two couples: Tommy Stagg and Yasmin Hadlow, and Lorenzo Alessi with Julia Majchrzak.

Charleen thought either couple could get the votes, while Mara backed Julia and Lorenzo, with Ope seconding that prediction. However, Lola and Sean both said Tommy and Yas would win.

Fans Furious Over Twist

The decision to let dumped Islanders choose who leaves before the final has angered viewers. One said: 'Producers are pathetic for that plot twist. Not even a gag just unnecessary.' Another fumed: 'This plot twist is absolute bu***hit, producers don't give a f**k about the public opinion.' A third viewer added: 'They've done this final week so poorly it's a joke. why are we having drama the day of the final???? i'm so tired.'
