Louise Thompson has revealed the 'low maintenance' holiday makeup products her makeup artist recommended, including Rodial Soft Focus Bronzing Drops that she's 'loving' for an instant sun-kissed glow.
MUA's Holiday Beauty Picks
Sharing that she'd asked her MUA for holiday beauty recommendations ahead of her upcoming family holiday, nine products were suggested. Thompson wrote on Instagram: "I'm always looking for low maintenance products that I can apply to my face in the morning and not have to think about again as I dive into the sea and gobble ice creams all day. And so far so good."
She added: "I'm already loving these Rodial bronzing drops," referring to the Rodial Soft Focus Bronzing Drops, a multi-use makeup and skincare hybrid that provides a sunkissed glow without the risk of sun damage from a natural tan.
How to Use the Bronzing Drops
The drops can be used before makeup to prep skin and give a radiant, natural 'lit from within' glow, or mixed with foundation to boost its glow. They can also be worn alone on bare skin for a dewy, sun-kissed sheen, making them ideal for a holiday beauty bag.
Beyond the visual boost, the drops contain niacinamide to even out skin tone, white star grass to brighten complexion, and squalene to soften and smooth skin. Apply a few drops to clean, dry skin and pat in, or mix a drop or two into foundation. At £75 for a 31ml bottle, the drops are a splurge, but only a couple of drops are needed at a time.
Budget-Friendly Alternative
For a similar look at a lower price, Drunk Elephant's D-Bronzi Bronzing Drops are now £23 down from £35 at Boots. They offer a holiday glow without sun damage, are packed with antioxidants and peptides to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and can be worn alone, mixed into foundation, or into moisturiser.
