Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls
Michael Landon was the driving force behind the original series, starring as Charles 'Pa' Ingalls while also serving as producer, writer, and director. He stepped away as a main cast member before the final season but continued behind the scenes. Landon died from pancreatic cancer in 1991 at age 57. He was married three times, including to makeup artist Cindy Clerico, and fathered nine children, including filmmaker Christopher Landon and Yellowstone star Jennifer Landon.
