Channel 5 is airing a repeat of the gripping thriller Lie With Me this week, starring EastEnders' Charlie Brooks. The four-part mini-series originally premiered in 2021 and follows Anna, a woman seeking a fresh start for her marriage in Australia with her husband and two young children. They hire a local childminder who harbors hidden depths.

Australian actor Brett Tucker plays Anna's husband Jake Fallmont. He is renowned for portraying Daniel Fitzgerald in Neighbours from 1992 to 2010, with roles in The Saddle Club, McLeod's Daughters, Mistresses, Station 19, Blue Murder Hotel, and The Residence.
Phoebe Roberts portrays au pair Becky Hart. The Australian actress is known for her appearance in Neighbours as Freya Wozniak in 2022. Supporting cast includes Alba Nicholls, Neil Melville, Nadine Garner, and Alfie Gledhill.
Filming Locations
The mini-series was both set and shot in Melbourne, Australia. Brett Tucker, who plays Jake, said: "We filmed in Montrose, which is just past the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, out in the mountains, close to where I grew up. It's just stunning out there. In fact, the house and property really are a big character in the story, so we needed to up our game to match the location because it was stunning."
How Many Episodes?
There are four episodes in total. The first episode airs at 9pm on Monday, July 6, with subsequent instalments broadcasting on four consecutive evenings this week. Lie With Me originally premiered on Channel 5 in 2021 and later appeared on Paramount+ under the title With Intent for American viewers.
The series received largely positive feedback from initial audiences, with many praising its plot twists and unforeseen conclusion. One viewer commented: "Gripping with a truly surprise ending. I loved this show from start to finish, it really hooks you in by making you think it's going to go one way but then it goes another. Charlie Brooks is excellent and two other actors play their parts well too, at times you feel like you are on all their sides. The ending is quite twisted and I didn't see it coming. Only criticism is it could've been longer."
Lie With Me returns to Channel 5 on Monday, July 6 at 9pm.
