Jules Neale has been seen looking deeply upset upon her return to Brisbane this week, following her painful separation from her AFL star husband, Brisbane Lions player Lachie Neale.
A Sombre Scene in Brisbane
The 35-year-old, who had reportedly spent Christmas with family in her native Western Australia, was spotted back in Queensland looking downcast. A day after being seen loading her car with moving boxes, Jules attempted to console herself with a morning coffee on Tuesday.
Dressed in a casual summer outfit of a plain white tank top and frayed denim shorts, her summery vibe starkly contrasted her glum expression. She was photographed wistfully staring into the distance as she waited for her drink, seemingly contemplating her next steps.
Packing Up a Life Together
The sighting came after her car was seen filled to the brim with moving boxes on Monday, marking her first public appearance since news of the high-profile marriage breakdown broke. She was accompanied by her father at a Carindale shopping centre, where she appeared tense and was not wearing her wedding ring.
Her father helped load sizable cases into an SUV already packed with taped-up boxes and large stuffed toys in protective bags. The boxes were marked with 'fragile' labels and the logo of a Brisbane removal firm. Meanwhile, the garage of her Brisbane home remained packed, with a box trailer waiting outside.
Public Fallout and Accusations
The split entered the public domain in December when Jules took to social media to state she had been 'betrayed in the most unimaginable way'. She firmly denied reports that the couple were 'working through' their issues. Shortly after, she deleted every photo of Lachie from her Instagram account.
Jules also launched a public attack on Tess Crosley, a 29-year-old married mother-of-one and Mormon missionary, demanding she remove Instagram photos from the Lions' grand final celebrations. Tess Crosley is understood to be at the centre of the split and was previously best friends with Jules. Tess has since posted bikini photos on Instagram, actions which have stunned members of her conservative Church of Latter-day Saints.
Jules and Lachie Neale, who married in 2015, share two young children: four-year-old daughter Piper and son Freddie, born in December 2024. Neither Lachie Neale nor Tess Crosley has made public comments on the situation, and there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Tess.
