All eyes on Budapest
It all comes down to this. After nine months, 188 matches, a silly amount of goals, comebacks, shocks, and endless entertainment, we have finally made it to Budapest for the Champions League final.
I can't tell you just how excited I am for this match; I've been willing for this day to come all week. And so have the Arsenal fans; once that league title was lifted, all focus shifted to European glory.
The Gunners are in their first European final for 20 years and are looking to avenge the team of 2006 by winning their first ever Champions League. Yeah, I know... I still find it crazy that a club of that size has never won it.
But it feels like Arsenal have never been in better shape to get the job done. Fresh off the back of their first Premier League title in 22 years, this Gunners squad is filled to the brim with confidence. Like, almost overflowing. Mikel Arteta's side feel like this is their time in Europe.
Standing in their way? The one and only PSG. Yep, the same side that trounced Inter Milan 5-0 to secure 'Ol Big Ears this time last year. Not exactly an easy team to beat. The French side have been ripping it up in Europe once again and are aiming to go back-to-back in the Budapest sunshine this evening. Not many would bet against them doing so, either.
Anyway, that's enough of an intro yap from me. With just two hours until kick-off, we'd better get this show on the road. Hold onto your horses, it's about to get wild...
