Jasmine Harman, star of A Place in the Sun, has confirmed the future of her solo show. Channel 4 has announced that Jasmine Harman's Renovation in the Sun has been commissioned for a second series.
Last year, the 15-part series was a hit with viewers as it followed the 50-year-old and her family renovating a run-down villa in Spain's Costa del Sol. Now, a new season produced by Double FTV is on the way, with Jasmine continuing to embrace Spanish life, explore the region, and restore her family home.
Speaking about the news, Jasmine shared her excitement and teased the challenges ahead. She said: "We're so thrilled that Jasmine Harman's Renovation in the Sun has been commissioned for a second series. Filming the first series was such an experience, and we were truly humbled by the support from viewers. It was wonderful to share both the reality and excitement of starting a new life in Spain. We've still got plenty more renovation challenges ahead of us, so I can't wait to continue the journey and start filming again."
In the second series, viewers will not only see Jasmine's villa makeover but also follow three additional renovation projects. These will be undertaken by ambitious British expats chasing their dream lifestyle in sunny Spain. Jasmine will check in on their progress, offering guidance, support, and a helping hand.
Double FTV Creative Director Michelle Heeley added: "We're thrilled to be returning for a second series. Audiences really connected with Jasmine's warmth, honesty, and enthusiasm during the first series. There are so many more inspiring renovation and relocation stories still to tell. We can't wait to head back to Spain and start filming again."
It is not yet known when the second series will air. The first series of Jasmine Harman's Renovation in the Sun is available to watch on Channel 4.
