BBC One viewers of the drama I, Jack Wright face a schedule change for the penultimate and final episodes, which have been pushed back to Monday, July 20, due to FIFA World Cup coverage.
What Happened to the Episodes?
The six-part murder mystery, written by Chris Lang (Unforgotten, Innocent), originally aired on U&Alibi in April 2025 but was acquired by the BBC. It began its BBC run on July 12, with double episodes on Sunday and Monday nights. However, the penultimate and final instalments originally scheduled for Sunday, July 19, were moved to accommodate the World Cup final, which the BBC is airing from 7pm with kick-off at 8pm.
New Air Dates and Times
The penultimate episode will air on BBC One at 9:15pm on Monday, July 20, with the finale following after the ten o'clock news at 10:40pm on the same channel. In the finale, DCI Morgan closes in on his suspect, Sally faces the wrath of Arnaud, and Rose takes a huge risk. The series is also available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Season Two Confirmed
The BBC has acquired a second season of I, Jack Wright, set to air in 2027. Returning cast members include Nikki-Amuka Bird as Sally Wright, John Simm as Gray Wright, Ruby Ashbourne-Serkis as Emily Wright, Daniel Rigby as John Wright, and Harry Lloyd as DCI Morgan. New cast members Tom Austen (Rematch) and Zora Bishop (Hijack) will join for season two.
