Love Island Star Harrison Solomon Addresses Ex-Girlfriend's Claims
Love Island: All Stars contestant Harrison Solomon has finally responded to allegations from his ex-girlfriend Lauren Wood that they were still together when he entered the villa. The 23-year-old footballer addressed the matter during Monday's final episode, expressing disappointment that Lauren had discussed their private relationship publicly.
Contradictory Accounts of the Breakup Timeline
Harrison famously left the Love Island villa during the 2025 series to pursue his relationship with Lauren, but the couple announced their split in November of that year. However, Lauren recently claimed on Joe Baggs' Not My Bagg podcast that she believed they were "still very much in a relationship" when Harrison joined the All Stars edition.
During the live final, Harrison watched Lauren's podcast comments for the first time and told host Maya Jama: "It's a shame because I feel like we broke up very amicably. I thought a lot of things she said in the podcast were untrue, but it's something I don't really want to air on national TV."
The footballer confirmed that their relationship ended at the conclusion of October, adding: "I need to air it in private, have the conversation with her and go from there. We ended at the end of October, last time I saw her was end of October, we've spoken a couple of times after we broke up."
Lauren's Perspective and Harrison's Rebuttal
Lauren had previously revealed that she felt blindsided by Harrison's decision to join All Stars, especially since they had both promised never to sign up for the spin-off series while they were together. She stated: "I feel like I'm having to go through a break up all over again because really nothing changed between me and him apart from we weren't spending loads of time together in person."
Harrison directly contradicted this account when asked if he had indicated to Lauren that they might reunite: "Not at all and it's a shame she said that and tried to twist things but it's a shame."
Villa Reactions and Previous Relationship Details
Belle Hassan, who coupled up with Harrison in the All Stars villa, shared her perspective on the situation: "I actually haven't watched it, it's not nice she's upset, things could have been clearer. I think breakups are quite difficult, especially if you ended amicably, sometimes the lines can be quite blurred."
She added: "It's for you to sort in private but it's not really my business to get involved. Hopefully you guys get it sorted."
During Sunday's episode, previous Islanders re-entered the villa to share their thoughts on remaining couples ahead of the final. Harrison faced criticism for allegedly discussing baby names with Lauren just one week before his flight to South Africa for All Stars, with reports suggesting his mother had to contact Lauren to clarify the situation.
Harrison's Previous Comments About the Split
Just weeks before entering the All Stars villa, Harrison spoke to The Daily Mail about the breakup, revealing: "Life's obviously been really full-on since leaving the villa. Obviously between work, travel, and everything going on, it just became really hard to find time to really focus on each other."
He continued: "I didn't want it to get to that point. I don't think either of us did, but we just had to have a conversation. We sat down, had an open and honest conversation and have decided to part ways but there's no bad blood at all. We just drifted a bit after the show, which is unfortunate, but we're still on really good terms. I've still got a lot of love for her and I wish her all the best as well."
The conflicting accounts have created significant discussion among Love Island fans, with many expressing sympathy for both parties while others have taken sides in the public disagreement about when their relationship officially ended.
