Gaby Roslin has shared that her new role is a dream come true. The TV star will be hosting her brand new ITV show, The Joy of Pets, alongside renowned vet Dr. Bolu Eso. The series aims to celebrate Britain's enduring love for animals, from energetic dogs and playful cats to furry, feathered and even scaly companions.

Discussing the show which she created, Gaby told The Mirror: "It really is sort of a dream come true," talking about Dr Bolu, she added: "I couldn't wish to work with a more perfect, wonderful, kind, glorious person. I don't think I worked with someone so unbelievably kind!"
Exploring the Nation's Love for Pets
With pets living in more than half of households across the UK, Gaby and Dr Bolu set out on a nationwide journey to explore the special relationships people share with their animals. Along the way, they meet owners whose pets have become much more than companions, hearing personal stories filled with love, loyalty, humour and unforgettable moments.
The programme also introduces some extraordinary animals whose remarkable actions have had a life-changing impact, including pets that have even helped to save their owners' lives. From everyday household favourites to truly remarkable animal companions, The Joy of Pets explores why pets have such an important place in the hearts and homes of people across Britain.
Emotional Stories and Animal Connections
When asked about any heartwarming or emotional stories from the show, Gaby told ITV: "We had a lovely blind dog – the most beautiful, wonderful dog that's brought so much joy to its owners' lives because they had lost their previous dog. They found this blind dog that they fostered and now they’ve adopted it."
"The dog reminded them so much of their last dog and the lovely owner was very tearful on the show talking about him. People did get tearful talking about their pets on the show because they love them so much."
"I think anyone who has ever had a pet, or is thinking of getting a pet, needs to watch this show. Actually everyone needs to watch this show because it’s full of joy and pets! But even people who think: 'do you know what, I don’t understand when someone say their cat’s died or their dog's died' will realise the connection between humans and animals when they watch the show."
