Emmerdale viewers are concerned for Cain Dingle after he became trapped in woodland following a camping trip with his son Kyle Winchester and Graham Foster.
The Dingle patriarch, played by Jeff Hordley since 2000, recently underwent surgery for prostate cancer, which was not successful, and he initially declined further treatment. His wife Moira was wrongfully remanded in prison and lost Butlers Farm to Kim Tate. The family also discovered their dog Monty has cancer.
On Thursday (July 23), Cain agreed to take Kyle camping, but was annoyed that Graham was invited. Tension between Cain and Graham led to Cain storming off into isolated woodland. As darkness fell, he lost his footing and trapped his leg under a fallen tree trunk.
