Emmerdale actress Beth Cordingly, known for playing Ruby Milligan, has publicly declared her love for her partner Ian Kelsey and co-star Lisa Riley after a heartwarming reunion over the weekend. The trio, who have deep connections spanning decades, shared a special moment that Cordingly documented on Instagram.
Reunion of Love and Friendship
Cordingly posted two images: one showing Lisa Riley and Ian Kelsey together in an old Emmerdale scene, and another of them deeply engaged in conversation during their recent meet-up. In the caption, she wrote: "I love these two humans individually. I love them even more together." She added, "As Lisa's Al said to me, whilst we took in the two of them immersed in catching up with each other, 'Good. They found each other.'"
Beth and Ian have been in a relationship for around four years, having known each other for over two decades. Ian Kelsey previously played Dave Glover in Emmerdale, and Beth has credited him with being "really supportive" when she landed her role in the ITV soap. She told press: "There is that thing as an actor where you are always taken away from home. But he totally gets it. He knows a lot of the crew and cast and so it’s lovely to be able to share what I’ve been up to, knowing he understands."
Response from Lisa Riley
Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, quickly responded to Beth's post, commenting: "Ahhhhhhhhhh I love this-and I really love you and your boy. Many years, many memories, many moments. My heart is warm." She also shared the post on her own Instagram, writing: "The gorgeous @beth_cordingly posted this post which made my heart so incredibly warm….from our '1976’s party' last week….You see me and @iankelseyofficial 30 years of friendship, 30 years of memories, 30 years of life skills learnt, 30 years of understanding."
Beth and Ian's Supportive Relationship
Beth previously highlighted how Ian's understanding of the acting industry strengthens their bond. "He is always keen to find out how filming has gone each day. We are both very supportive of each other’s careers which is important when it is such a competitive industry," she said. The couple's reunion with Lisa Riley underscores the enduring friendships formed on the set of Emmerdale.
