Ravi had left Walford after being sectioned and admitted to a mental health facility. His decline began when he agreed to inform for the police to avoid prison, which exacerbated his paranoia. Priya discovered he had been self-harming and tried to get him help. In April, Ravi, convinced enemies were after him, installed new locks on the flat and confined Priya, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), and Avani (Aaliyah James) inside. After Priya orchestrated their escape, Ravi contemplated suicide, but son Nugget's declaration of love stopped him. He was subsequently sectioned.
Upon a brief return in early June, he slept with Priya but insisted they remain apart. Since then, Priya has been having a secret affair with Max, who is engaged to Cindy.

On Thursday, Ravi's sudden reappearance left Priya reeling. She reiterated that their relationship was over, but her lingering feelings for Ravi were evident.
