Demi Moore's Christmas Family Photo Amid Bruce Willis Health

Actress Demi Moore has shared a touching festive family photograph on social media, featuring her and her three daughters dressed in matching Christmas pyjamas. The wholesome snapshot offers a glimpse of family unity during what has been a challenging period for the clan, as they continue to support ex-husband and father Bruce Willis through his health battle.

A Festive Family Gathering

Taking to her Instagram account on Sunday, the 63-year-old Hollywood star posted the sweet image, which included her daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31. The trio are her children with former husband Bruce Willis, who was not present in the picture. Also joining the festive gathering was Demi's close friend, Eric Buterbaugh.

Moore captioned the post simply with 'Ho Ho Ho….Dogs, Ducks, PJs and Snow,' encapsulating the cosy, joyful scene. The image quickly garnered attention from fans, who praised the family's close bond and festive spirit.

Rumer's Heartbreaking Update on Bruce Willis's Health

The lighthearted post arrives shortly after Demi's eldest daughter, Rumer, provided a candid and emotional update on her father's deteriorating condition. Bruce Willis, the legendary 70-year-old Die Hard star, retired from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, which later progressed to a more specific diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

In a recent social media exchange, Rumer revealed the painful reality that her father does not always recognise her when she visits. 'The truth is that anybody with FTD (frontotemporal dementia) is not doing great,' she explained to a follower who inquired about his wellbeing.

Despite this, Rumer emphasised the profound connection that remains. 'I'm so grateful that when I go over there, and I give him a hug, whether he recognises me or not, that he can feel the love I've given him, and I can feel it back from him,' she shared. 'I still see a spark of him.'

A Family Navigating Health Challenges Together

Rumer, who is a mother to a young daughter named Louetta, also brings her child along for visits, cherishing the moments they can still share. She expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to spend time with him and feel his love, however it is communicated.

The Willis family first publicly addressed Bruce's health nearly four years ago. In a joint statement released on March 30, 2022, his current wife, Emma Heming, his two younger daughters with Heming, and his ex-wife Demi Moore alongside Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, announced his retirement. They disclosed his aphasia diagnosis, which was impacting his cognitive abilities.

The statement read: 'As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support.'

It concluded with a nod to Bruce's famous motto, stating the family planned to 'Live it up' together. The recent Christmas photo and Rumer's heartfelt words demonstrate that, despite the immense difficulties, the extended family continues to support one another and find moments of joy and connection.
