In the episode, the Platt family gathered to record a video message for Audrey's birthday. Harry Platt told Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon): "We're doing a video for Granny Audrey, to show her new boyfriend." Bethany then asked: "This new boyfriend, is he French and is he rich?" David (Jack P. Shepherd) quipped back: "What do you think?" hinting that the new man is indeed wealthy.
