Coronation Street fans have shared their predictions on who will ultimately be sent down for Theo Silverton's murder, with many believing it won't be the actual killer, Sarah Platt.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, the builder's lifeless body was discovered by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mother Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor back in April. The incident followed a flashforward episode in February that confirmed Theo was among five possible victims of a murder set to rock the cobbles, alongside Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh, and Maggie Driscoll. A week after the wedding aired, it was revealed that Theo was the one who had been murdered, ending his 13-month reign of physical and mental abuse over his partner, Todd Grimshaw.
Murder Investigation and Suspects
A murder investigation was launched, with fans left guessing 'whodunnit'. Initially, six suspects were confirmed: Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton. However, as Corrie fans now know, it was Sarah Platt who appeared to deal the fatal blow, sending a drunk Theo tumbling off the scaffolding outside his flat.
The truth of what happened that night was revealed in a dark flashback, showing Sarah being lured to the flat and confronted by Theo. When he threatened her, she struck him over the head with a pole, causing him to fall from the scaffolding. Shocked, Sarah called on her former flame, Gary Windass, for help, explaining their suspicious behavior in recent weeks. The secret was only revealed to viewers, with other characters unaware—until Sarah confessed to Todd during Thursday's (June 25) visit to Weatherfield.
Fans Speculate on Who Will Be Framed
Despite the confession, fans do not believe Sarah will be the one sent to prison for Theo's murder, especially after Todd said he would not go to the police because he loved her and could not watch her go down for her crimes. Taking to Reddit, user Key_Bus_1255 asked: "If the show actually goes the route of someone getting deliberately framed for Theo's murder so that Sarah doesn't get sent down, who do you think it will be that gets framed and potentially sent down for it??"

Gtripwood commented: "Sarah i think has twigged it was Jodie who knocked her out as Jodie ran off up the stairs realising she’s made a mistake by blurting about the dog. I wonder if she will suddenly disappear and Gary/Sarah will suggest it was her who knocked her and Theo out."
