Viewers Speculate on Megan Walsh's Fate
Coronation Street fans are convinced that Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is set to be killed off in a dramatic storyline, with many suspecting her teenage victim Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) could be the killer. The speculation follows recent episodes where Megan's trial for grooming Will took a tense turn.
The Grooming Storyline
Megan first appeared on the ITV soap earlier this year as Will's athletics coach after he relocated from Hull to Weatherfield with his family. It later emerged that she had been secretly grooming the 16-year-old for months before his arrival and was expecting his baby, with plans to escape together. When the truth surfaced, Will reported Megan to the police, leading to her arrest.
Lack of Remorse and Manipulation
Since her arrest, Megan has shown zero remorse and attempted to manipulate Will into changing his story by enlisting her mother Janine Walsh (Melissa Jaques) to speak with him, according to the Daily Star. This week, the trial began with solicitor Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) representing Megan. Will initially crumbled under questioning and, after locking eyes with Megan, claimed he had fabricated everything about their relationship.

During Thursday's (July 2) episode, a courageous Will returned to the witness box and revealed the truth about Megan's appalling offences, hoping to sway the jury. Megan was visibly furious. Later, back in Weatherfield, as Will went for a run, Megan confronted him, insisting the jury would acquit her and warning him to "watch his back."

However, fans believe Megan should be the one looking over her shoulder. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer wrote: "Anyone else think Will could kill Megan?" Another commented: "That would be the ideal ending tbh." A third added: "She's a nasty piece of work and needs to be killed off." While a fourth said: "Hopefully she gets sent down but Will killing her would be satisfying as well."
