Castle stage play from Working Dog creators

The creators of the beloved Australian film The Castle have adapted the story for the stage. Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner, Santo Cilauro and Jane Kennedy – the team behind the 1997 film – have written a theatrical version, set to premiere in Melbourne.

Stage production details

The play will be produced by Working Dog Productions in association with a major theatre company. It features the same beloved characters, including the Kerrigan family and their fight to save their home from compulsory acquisition for airport expansion.

The stage adaptation promises to capture the humor and heart of the original film, with many of the iconic lines and scenes translated for live performance.
