EastEnders fans are convinced that Billy Mitchell could be killed off after 28 years on the show, as Bea's obsession with Honey Mitchell takes a dark and dangerous turn. Billy, played by Perry Fenwick, first appeared in Walford in 1998 as the cousin of Phil Mitchell and quickly became a beloved character. Over the years, he has been central to major storylines, including his relationship with Honey, the tragic death of his daughter Lola, and numerous other hardships.
Bea's Obsession Intensifies
In recent episodes, Bea, portrayed by Ronni Ancona, has developed an unhealthy fixation on Honey since her arrival in January. Her jealousy has escalated to the point where she moved into the Mitchell household, fraudulently obtained a credit card in Honey's name, and turned against Billy. Desperate to remove him, Bea sabotaged him and tried to paint him as manipulative. This week, she created a fake dating profile using Billy's details and falsely accused him of trying to seduce her, leaving Honey stunned.
Fan Fears of Murder
On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, viewers expressed fears that Bea's behavior could lead to murder. One fan speculated, "The way things are going with Bea, I can see her trying to kill Billy. We know she's capable of physical sabotage..." Another added, "Imagine if Billy gets killed off!" A third viewer echoed, "I would be so devastated!" The possibility of Billy's death would be a massive shock to fans.
Actress Hints at Darker Turn
Actress Ronni Ancona hinted at an even darker storyline, stating, "It's going to get so much darker for Honey and Billy. I would say that Bea increasingly spirals, and she becomes more dangerous as a result." She continued, "I think Bea almost blacks out with anger. There is something in her that switches when she is triggered, and at that point her actions become deeply malevolent." Ancona added, "She knows time is running out for her, and I think that fuels her. It's like a warped sense of self-preservation. She is horribly lonely, and it's catastrophically damaging for her. She sees in Honey a chance of something real, and she's not ready to give it up."
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
